We use a structured, goal-oriented approach in therapy in which the personal needs and goals of each client determine the length of treatment. In many cases, the initial 4 to 5 months of weekly sessions aim to build foundational skills necessary to cope more effectively with the presenting concern. Once these skills are in place, some clients prefer to end treatment, while in other cases, therapy may shift to focus on more nuanced, relational themes.
Therapy FAQs
We offer telehealth services for adult therapy clients. For children, the appropriateness of this format is decided on a case-by-case basis based on what is deemed the best clinical environment for the individual child.
We specialize in treatment of anxiety, OCD, and several other presenting concerns across the lifespan.
There is a $200 fee for the initial intake sessions, with each subsequent, 50-minute therapy session billed at a rate of $175. We are currently in-network with Carefirst/BCBS Plans. For all other insurance carriers, we can provide a superbill which can be submitted for possible reimbursement.

Psychoeducational Testing FAQs
It can be difficult to differentiate the severity of challenges which necessitate testing from those which may be best addressed using a “wait and see” approach. In general, we find that it is important to consider multiple factors when deciding whether testing is the right step for your child. While there is no “one-size-fits-all” method, I encourage parents to consider how, if at all the concerns is impacting the child, the duration of the concern, as well as what interventions have been tried and whether they have been effective. In addition, teachers, tutors, and/or other providers (i.e., speech therapists, occupational therapists etc.) often are able to provide a unique perspective regarding how a child is functioning relative to peers.
The intake session is also used to discuss whether testing is the right “next step” for your child.
The testing process generally consists of the initial intake session, 2-3 testing sessions, and a final feedback session. The testing sessions are generally conducted on consecutive mornings. Currently, we are able to offer testing sessions within 4-6 weeks of the initial contact.
Although we do conduct intake and feedback sessions via telehealth, the testing sessions themselves are conducted in-person.
The specific measures included in each battery vary based on the presenting concerns. In general, we utilize a neuropsychological framework for testing which aims to understand not only the “what” but the “why” underlying learning challenges. We also include social-emotional measures in nearly all testing in order to understand possible interactions between learning and emotional functioning.
Following testing, parents will receive a comprehensive report detailing the findings of testing and, where relevant, recommendations for intervention and support.
Each report includes a detailed section listing interventions and supports for the school setting. In addition, we can participate (virtually) in school meetings with teachers to discuss the findings of testing and have found that doing so often can provide a more seamless transition to successful implementation of recommendations.
The fee for testing varies based on the level of complexity and needs of each client. Testing fees range between $3,000-$3,250. We offer a superbill to clients which can be submitted to your insurance provider for possible compensation. We recommend checking with your carrier prior to testing to determine whether your plan will reimburse services provided by out-of-network providers.
We are able to bill a portion of the fees to insurance for clients with Carefirst/BCBS plans, although academic/educational testing is not covered by insurance and therefore will incur an out-of-pocket fee.
